Medical Interpreter – Independent Contractor

U.S.-based Independent Contractor Interpreters to provide accurate, ethical, and culturally sensitive interpretation services for Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients. We serve medical facilities, courts, schools, churches, events, and other professional settings.

Scope of Work

• Provide onsite, phone, and video interpretation services
• Perform consecutive and simultaneous interpretation as required
• Interpret all communication accurately, clearly, and impartially while maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity

Requirements

• Fluency in English and at least one additional language
• Knowledge of medical and/or professional terminology and interpreter ethics
• OHA Qualified or OHA Certified preferred
• Must be located within the United States
• For phone/video assignments: reliable internet connection and a private, quiet workspace
• Professional, neutral, punctual, and reliable

Independent Contractor Status:

This position is offered on an independent contractor basis. Contractors are responsible for maintaining credentials, certifications, and continuing education.
